Not that this should be a surprise to anyone buuuuuutt Google is delaying the cookie deprecation...again. I remember having conversations with companies about their plan for when cookies were being eliminated back in 2020. A whopping 1% of cookies have been phased out in early January. The regulatory body in January flagged 39 unique “concerns” about Google’s plan to sunset third-party cookies. A few of questions: - When do you think Google will 100% phase out cookies? - Do you use a private browser such as Brave Software or DuckDuckGo?- What steps have you already taken for marketing when Google does in fact complete this? The delay is political in nature and surprisingly not on the Google side. It's a struggle with UK based Competition and Markets Authority. The CMA is making sure that if Google deprecates cookies, that the tools put in place to replace it don't become anti competitive. As to when, who knows... They aren't that far off if you follow all the entries in the Privacy Sandbox.

It’s like I say all the time: there are three organizations that pretty much can do whatever they want and we all just have to deal with it: IRS, mafia and Google. Google is reason that digital marketers are so great at the PIVOT! We have no choice but to adapt and adjust our strategy/path accordingly when Google makes their strategy adjustments. So to answer your question: we will all piVOT, lean into it and keep moving forward.

Honestly no time soon. It's going to be the worlds slowest rollout. Wouldn't expect it until at least 2026. The smartest marketers are the ones who don't depend on cookies TODAY.

Haha. Well, this all about their readiness to shift everything to Gemini, and staying clear of antitrust hawks in Europe. First-party customer delight is the key to growth… we don’t need no Meta pixels. 🤠

I heard they had extra milk 🥛 so cookies are still being given out until further notice.

Real shocking haha. Never is the answer And if it does happen I suggest having your organic social game be the best cuz that's how solid cookie less marketing goes down
